- record by averaging 50.4 points a game during
- the 1962 season, and was the only man to
- score 100 points in a game. He was known as
- `Wilt the Stilt' because of his height 2.16
- m/7 ft 1 1/8 in. He played professionally for
- the Philadelphia Warriors, Philadelphia
- 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and briefly for
- the Harlem Globetrotters. Playing against the
- New York Knickerbockers 1962 he became the
- only man to score 100 points in a National
- Basketball Association (NBA) game. He was the
- only centre to lead the league in assists. He
- led the league in scoring 1960-66, was NBA
- Most Valuable Player 1960, 1966-68, and
